Exploration of Responses to Potassium in Western Uruguay
Several regions of Uruguay has recently shown K deficiencies and responses. This project looks to determine the different areas with K deficiency, evaluate responses in the main field crops, and provide information on K soil testing.

Project Description
Field trials and field observations in 2005 have shown K deficiencies in corn and grain sorghum at western Uruguay areas. To explore K deficiencies and responses in the region field experiments in corn have been established in western Uruguay in collaboration with Universidad de la Republica (UdelaR)at Paysandú and Montevideo, and with INIA La Estanzuela.
