Methodology
- Field studies will be conducted at two locations, Indian Head and Scott, SK. Established forage stands that are low producing will be selected for treatment. The treatments will be applied to each forage stand as shown in Table 1 over a 3-year period. The sites should receive a blanket application of potassium sulphate to correct any K and S deficiencies.
- Pre-treatment soil analysis (0-6” and 6-24”)
- Forage yield
- Notes/observations on shift in stand diversity, weeds
- Forage N and P content (Ca as well if possible)
Experimental design: 4 replicate RCBD with 8 treatments (32 plots total)
