Project Description

Vegetable is characterized with high harvest index, high nutritional requirements, and both high input and output. Fertilization is a key agricultural measure for vegetable production. However, overfertilization was very common nowadays in vegetable production in China. In this project, the intensive vegetable cultivation regiments with high fertilizer-input were selected to study the effects of dominant environmental factors such as moisture, light and temperature on transformation of N, P in soils as well as uptake and utilization of N, P by vegetable crops, to provide the theoretical basis and technical supports for improving fertilizer use efficiency through synergic effects of nutrient and environmental factors in vegetable production.
