Vegetable planting area has reached 670,000 ha in Fujian Province with output 14,530,100 t and valued US$32.94 billion. Both vegetable and banana need high rates of fertilizer input and that is often result in negative effect on environment due to unbalanced fertilization. This research project is conducted by the Soil and Fertilization Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Science, and mainly focused on efficient fertilization technology for vegetables and banana in Fujian province. The crops in this project include kidney bean, balsam pear, lettuce, mustard in Yong’an, Pinghe, Yongchun, Zhangzhou and Nanjing counties.
