Potassium application in 1988 at the Western Agricultural Research Center "Montmorency" tart cherry orchard will be continued as in 1986 and 1987. Three rates (0. 35, 0. 7, and 1. 4 kg K2O/tree) of three sources (KCl, K2SO4, and KNO3) of K will be applied to individual trees through the drip system. Potassium will be applied with nitrogen in 4 equal biweekly applications beginning at bloom. Plot design is a randomized complete block with 6 replications. Read more
