Evaluation of N recommendations for maize-sesame association in the Southwestern Coastal Plain of Guatemala

Growers in the Southwestern Coastal Plain of Guatemala routinely fertilize maize/sesame association according to their experience. All of them use N fertilizer, whereas only some also apply P and K. This project was conducted in 2014 to compare the responses of maize and sesame in 10 locations to N recommendations provided by three sources. Most topsoils were clayey, with pH and organic matter between 6. 1 to 6. 9, and 1. 8 to 3. 2%, respectively. Read more
