Fertilizer effects on nitrate in water and soils

The objectives of the project are: 1) To document and summarize the scientific literature concerning ground water nitrate problems. 2) To document the current information on groundwater nitrates in Western Canada and hence provide a baseline for future studies. 3) To identify current and/or possible future problem areas and to describe management strategies to minimize future effects.
