4R Fund Research Repository

The goals of this project are to develop 1) a data repository for projects funded under the 4R Fund (http://www.ipni.net/article/IPNI-3366), 2) data preprocessing protocols for repository ingestion, 3) best practices toolkits and 4) data/metadata standards for agronomic researchers. Objective 1 will be met initially by using the Purdue University Research Repository (https://purr.purdue.edu). Purdue advertised a job description for a uniquely qualified individual who is capable of leading the accomplishment of the remaining objectives. After an extensive search, a qualified candidate has been hired. Future work will focus on developing the standards and best practices enumerated above.
