1995 Annual Interpretive Summary

Maximum yield research for the early corn-late rice-winter tomato cropping pattern in Guangxi province, 1995

A winter tomato crop inserted into the early corn-late rice cropping sequence maximizes annual crop production yields and profits. Fertilizer rates of 375-240-300 kg/ha N-P2O5-K2O produced 8.6 t/ha of corn; 180-90-150 kg/ha produced 7.2 t/ha of rice; and 240-90-240 kg/ha produced 26.2 t/ha of tomato. Maximum economic returns of 38,813 Chinese yuan (US$4,700)/ha were obtained using these fertilizer rates. GUANGXI-08
