2004 Annual Interpretive Summary


An Oil Palm Platform was newly formed by a group of oil palm agronomists and technical experts interested in the development, evaluation, and promotion of Agronomic Information Management Systems (AIMS) in Oil Palm based on the integration of knowledge, technologies, and tools. The major objectives are: 1) the exchange of information and experience in crop and nutrient management; 2) the generation, integration, and aggregation of information, technologies, and tools; and 3) the promotion of integrated crop and nutrient management concepts that are environmentally sound, socially viable, and economically strong.

The group will officially present its concepts to planters and launch the Oil Palm Portal at the National Seminar of the Incorporated Society of Planters (ISP) in Johor Bahru in June 2005. Southeast Asia-03
